WELCOME!
From the CEO

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Welcome to the Q2 edition of the Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre and Specialist Hospital newsletter for 2024. I am proud to share with you our amazing accomplishments to round up the first half of the year. Since our last issue, we have seen an additional 300 new patients.
In this edition, we remind everyone of our Concierge Services, tailored to provide early diagnosis and better treatment for all our patients. We also introduce our top-tier radiotherapy services, available at very competitive rates.
Also announcing our launch event, partnership with Leadway Insurance to develop a tailored Comprehensive Plan providing wider access to healthcare for patients throughout Nigeria. We have also started a new Psychology clinic, made for those recently diagnosed with cancer. Helping them and their family members walk together in what can be a very hard journey.
Read on to hear how our Research and Development department has commenced two genomic research studies, tailored to unlocking what can be uncovered from the African genome.
The impactful initiatives of the MRCC Foundation NGO showcase the hospital’s drive to reach beyond our gate to improve the health of our community as well.
We have had such exciting activities and events, including visits from both Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister for Health and Social Welfare, and the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Tunji Alausa. Additionally, we have forged partnerships with LUTH-NSIA, Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, and many more to improve training and increase capacity building.
With all this, it is essential to acknowledge the collective efforts behind our accomplishments. Our progress is driven by the dedication of our staff, the steadfast support of our partners, and the resilience of our patients, all working together to bridge the gap in exceptional care. May this newsletter inspire and uplift you as we continue to forge ahead.
