5KM Walk on World Cancer Day
Stepping Towards a Cancer-Free World
In 2022, on world cancer day, Marcelle Ruth hosted its first 5km walk, we took to the streets of Lagos to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and fundraise to improve access to cancer care.
In 2023, we continued this tradition with a growing number of over 500 supporters.
Changing Lives, One Patient at a Time
Through your generous donations, we have been able to provide much needed financial support to over 100 indigent patients towards various treatments including chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy.

Breast Care Day – Fostering Awareness and reducing stigma through Survivors sharing their stories.
We have provided free breast and cervical screening to over 250 women as well as free prostate screening to over 100 men.
In 2023, we enhanced this initiative and launched the MRCC ‘Breast Care Day’, an educational conference attended by over 600 participants. Informative talks from leading specialists, along with an incredible fireside chat session, were instrumental in raising awareness and reducing stigma.

Widening access to current oncology practice: Sponsorship of Best of ASCO License.
At this year’s ARCON meeting, we provided attendees with access to the Best of ASCO license. This invaluable resource empowers healthcare professionals with the most up-to-date clinical and research data, enabling them to deliver the best possible.
Sponsorship of ARGO Symposium: Advancing Cancer Research and Knowledge
We proudly sponsored the attendance of over 20 participants, including (consultants, senior registrars, doctors, nurses, pharmacy professionals, and researchers) from various public institutions across Nigeria. This sponsorship enabled professionals to access cutting-edge knowledge and research in the field of Oncology, some of which was delivered by specialists from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC, USA).
